“I love Copenhagen.”
“Living in that city for four short months made me fall for cities—all cities. It’s hard to think about what cities are without reducing them to a few bland building blocks. Cities are more than the sum of their parts. Energy, optimism, sweat, violence and tears are rampant in cities. Cities hold some of the most interesting and innovative solutions to our world’s problems. Think on it.
Cities are pretty damn cool. When they are walkable, bikeable and easy to navigate, they are all the more fun, vibrant, cool and liveable. Urban art and those urban parks make it to the top of my list too. “Skål!” as the Danish say. These photos are from my time in Copenhagen. I’m pretty sure I walked the entirety of the city while I was there. I enjoyed it.”
